Caroline graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts and the Queensland Conservatorium. She was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, and finalist in three major operatic competitions resulting in further operatic training in London and New York, and completion of intensive language studies in Italy and Germany.
Caroline has performed many roles for Opera Australia, including Olga (Eugene Onegin), Mercedes (Carmen) Inez (Il Trovatore), The Mayors Wife (Jenufa), Mother Jeanne (Dialogue of the Carmelites) and Lady-in-Waiting (Simon Boccanegra). She was Mrs Chiffle/Narrator in ll Midnite appearing in both the Adelaide and Melbourne festivals. Caroline toured Scotland and Northern Ireland for the Scottish International Children’s Festival, playing Control/Pythia in Software and appeared as Arnalta in Coronation of Poppea for the Caithness Summer Music Festival. For Alexander Productions, Caroline sang the role of Jade Boucher in Dead Man Walking and for Melbourne Opera, both Mercedes and the title role in Carmen, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana, and Marthe in Faust.
Touring Australia extensively in 2011 and 2012 Caroline performed the role of Katisha in The Mikado for Promac; other roles include Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti (Lyric Opera Melbourne), Calliope in Orpheus in the Underworld, and Fillipyevna in Eugene Onegin.
As a recitalist, Caroline has appeared as a soloist with TSO, Verdi's Requiem (SOH), and the mezzo solo in Rossini's Petit Messelemnus for Gloriana in Melbourne.
Recent performances include: Leonore (Fidelio) and Flora (La Traviata,) for Melbourne Opera and the title role in Iphegenie en Tauride for Lyric Opera of Melbourne. In concert, she was soloist in Rossini’s Stabat Mater with both the Victorian Youth Orchestra, and Frankston Symphony, The Messiah with Darwin Symphony and she sang in Berlioz’s Romeo et Juliette for the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra. She appeared as Suzuki for Melbourne Opera and Ma Moss in Lyric Opera of Melbourne’s production of The Tender Land.
In 2015, she will sing in over 50 concerts with La Prima Opera, appears as Stella for Lyric Opera, Anna in Melbourne Opera’s Maria Stuarda and tours China as Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro.
