Selena Pettifer is a graduate of the University Of Melbourne and a winner of the Bendigo and Geelong eisteddfods amongst many others. Her roles for Melbourne Opera include Flora in La Traviata, Mercedes in Carmen and the Mistress Of The Novices in Suor Angelica. Other roles include Suzuki in Mornington Peninsula Theatre Company’s Madam Butterfly and, most recently, La Dama in concert performances of Verdi’s Macbeth for Heidelberg Choral Society.
She is a regular concert and oratorio soloist having been engaged for Vivaldi’s Gloria by the Dandenong Choral Society, by the Maroondah City Council for its Carols By Candlelight in 2004, by Melbourne Opera for its bushfire relief concerts and for its performances of Handel’s Messiah in 2009 and for Mozart’s Requiem with the David Ashton Smith Singers during 2010.
