Giselle Baulch

Giselle started studying singing with Pamela Turner and Brian Hansford in 1993 while completing her VCE at Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts (Italian major) and Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the University of Melbourne, studying voice with Merlyn Quaife. Since completing her degrees Giselle has been studying with Loris Synan. She has performed roles for Magic Flute (Eastern Metropolitan Opera) and Falstaff (Melbourne City Opera) also directed by Blair and has performed regularly as a soloist for the Music Lovers’ Society, Astra Chamber Society, Seduction Opera and in concerts for the Autumn Music Festival.


In 2002 she won the Australia Youth Aria competition and was a semi-finalist in the Herald Sun Aria competition.
