Kerry Gill

Kerry was born in Melbourne and completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Japanese and Politics before moving to the UK to further her singing studies. She was awarded a scholarship to study at Trinity College of Music, London and completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Vocal Studies. While still at college her professional career began singing the lead role of Blanche in Poulenc’s Dialogue of the Carmelites at Spitalfield’s Market Opera. Kerry has performed operatic roles internationally in countries including the UK, France, Switzerland, Holland, the Middle East and Asia. Roles include Leonora (Il Trovatore), Gilda (Rigoletto), Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte) and Norina (Don Pasquale). Since returning to Australia Kerry has sung the role of Catherine in The Sound Garden for Oz Opera Schools Company (Opera Australia) and for Melbourne Opera Violetta in La Traviata, Nedda in Pagliacci, the title role in Madame Butterfly and Micaela in Carmen.
