Paul Biencourt is a graduate of the National Theatre School in Melbourne. His roles for Melbourne Opera include Don Basilio and Curzio in Melbourne Opera's in The Marriage Of Figaro, Rodolfo in La Boheme, St Brioche in The Merry Widow, Remendado in Carmen, Ferrando in Cosi Fan Tutte and Goro in Madam Butterfly and Pedrillo in The Abduction From Seraglio.
For Victorian Opera he has appeared as Brighella in Ariadne Auf Naxos, Mick Davoren in the company's workshop production of The Cockatoos, in all-six tenor roles in the world premiere production of Rembrandt's Wife and as Tmolus in Der Streit Zwischen Pheobus & Pan.
For Opera Australia, during 2010, he covered the role of Harry in La Fanciulla Del West. Music theatre roles include Noel Weiderberg in The Delltones in Shout-The Musical, and eight roles for The Production Company in such shows as The Music Man, Annie Get Your Gun, Sunset Boulevard, Camelot, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Damn Yankees.
Concerts include the City Of Stonningon's Christmas In Stonnington concerts and Opera In The Park, regular performances of Handel's Messiah for Melbourne Opera and Camberwell Chorale and the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Society's Christmas concert at St. Paul's Cathedral.
