It was with “La Traviata” that we launched Melbourne Opera in 2003 and we are pleased to revive this 2009 production as part of out 10th anniversary.

Leading International soprano Antoinette Halloran makes her debut as the doomed courtesan Violetta in Melbourne Opera’s highly successful production of the most popular opera in the world.

Grand Italian opera has proven to be a wonderful experience in the superb acoustics and atmospheric intimacy of the historic Athenaeum Theatre.

This production, directed by Suzanne Chaundy, will be dedicated to our Founding Patron Lady Potter AC
