Rodney Phillips

With this year being his 40th year in professional show business, Rodney has had a varied career. His credits include 3,500 performances in the world famous Black & White Minstrel Show in the UK as well as performing in cabaret, musicals and film and was a champion ballroom and Latin champion before arriving in Melbourne in 1974. Joining the fledgling VSO in 1975 he remained with that company for 20 years whilst directing and choreographing many shows such as Merry Widow, Countess Maritza, Can Can, Anything Goes, etc. In recent years he has appeared with the MCO in Carmen, Tosca, Cavelleria Rusticana, Don Giovani, and Il Trovotore where he sang the role of Ruiz.
