Samantha du'Rennes

Born: Melbourne, Australia


Studies: Samantha graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1997 with a Bachelor of Music, performance (honours), and graduated from La Trobe University as a speech pathologist with a major in voice therapy in 2004.


Since graduating from Melbourne University Samantha has appeared in many productions ranging from opera to music theatre, and jazz. Performances include: Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica with Choral Institute Melbourne, Cosette in Les Miserables with Altona City Theatre, and Emily, a role that was written for her, in The Lane by Adam Bianco. She has also worked with The Melbourne Choral Ensemble under the direction of John Dingle which included performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the Melbourne Town Hall and Victorian Arts Centre, and in Symphony 1000 at Stadium Australia for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.


Samantha toured both Japan and Canada with the Choral Institute of Melbourne where she was a soloist at Banff Springs Hotel, The Saddle Dome at the Calgary Stampede and at the Lake Louise Chateau. She has also been a guest artist at Opera in the Market with Australian Music Events, at the Crown Casino Showroom with the Australian Show band, with the Australian Welsh Choir and was the guest artist and host at the 2003 Maroondah city Carols by Candlelight. She also performed solo vocals for the short film The Rabbit which was part of the International short film festival in 2002.
