Tania Ferris

Tania graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. Her operatic roles include; Flora: La Traviata (Melbourne Opera), Clairon: Capriccio, Mercedes: Carmen, Kate: Pirates of Penzance, Spirit: Dido and Aeneas, Leila: Iolanthe (Opera Australia), Carmen/Mercedes: Carmen (Oz Opera), Cornelia: Giulio Cesar, Marguerite: La Damnation de Faust (Victorian Opera), Ma: The Tenderlands, Der Trommler: Der Kaiser Von Atlantis, Fricka: Die Walkure (New York Foundation of the Arts Wagner Theatre Program). International concert work includes Haydn’s Mass in B Minor (Reading University Choir and Orchestra, London), Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (Japan’s Philharmonic Orchestra). In 2012 Tania will be performing the role of Third Lady in Opera  Australia’s production of the Magic Flute.
