Young Artist Alumnus with Pacific Opera 2020-2022, Matthew’s operatic highlights include Aida, Sydney Philharmonia ChorusOz, National Opera Canberra, L’elisir d’amore, Endangered Opera, The Telephone, Die Kluge, Arlecchino and chorus for Opera Australia in Attila, Roberto Devereux, Aida, La Gioconda, Carmen, La Boheme and Turandot.
Soloist in The Messiah, Beethoven 9th, Mozart’s Missa Breve, Regina Coeil, Requiem, Schubert’s Mass in G and Gounod’s Mass of St Cecelia; Samson (Harapha).
Matthew was a scholarship recipient/soloist AIMS Graz Summer Program 2024 and won the 2025 BlueScope WIN Wollongong Eisteddfod Aria & 2026 Shoalhaven Eisteddfod Aria.
Success in national competitions include, finalist Sydney Eisteddfod Operatic Scholarship 2022, Damien Whitely Award; Third prize Stimme, Leib und Seele Award (2022); John Wenger Award (2023) in JSRB Bel Canto Award; Finalist, Sydney International Song Prize (2023); Reserve Finalist, German-Australian Opera Grant (2024).
Internationally Matthew represented Australia in Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition-Latvia (2024); Semi-Finalist, AIMS Graz Meistersinger Competition (2024).
