Breanna Stuart

Tasmanian-born Breanna Stuart is a soprano based in Melbourne, Australia. Recently, Breanna made her debut as Fiordiligi in Melbourne Opera’s production of Così fan Tutte. Her other theatre credits include Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Suor Angelica (Melbourne Opera), The Turn of the Screw (IOpera), The Grumpiest Boy in the World (Victorian Opera), Die Zauberflöte (Melbourne Conservatorium of Music), and The Consul (ACOCo). Breanna also recently performed in the world premiere of Meta Cohen’s Kiss My Sword with Lyric Opera of Melbourne.

In 2024 Breanna participated in the Master Course in the Interpretation of German Lied at the Franz-Schubert-Institute in Austria.
Breanna is the 2025 winner of the Sydney International Song Prize, and Runner up and recipient of the Dame Elizabeth Murdoch Prize in the 2025 Herald Sun Aria. In 2024, she was awarded first prize in both the Art Song Competition and Aria Competition with Opera Scholars Australia, as well as the Acclaim Academic Scholarship at the Acclaim Awards.

Breanna is a current Richard Divall Emerging Artist with Melbourne Opera, and a 2023/2024 alumna of Opera Scholars Australia. She also holds a Masters of Opera Performance and a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
