Diamonds for the Diva
We’re proud to be part of NGV Friday Nights: CARTIER this winter, presenting Diamonds for the Diva — a series of bespoke live performances celebrating Dame Nellie Melba, the Melbourne-born soprano whose voice conquered the world and who counted Cartier among her admirers.
Arranged especially for Friday Nights, the performance features Melbourne Opera’s own ‘Melba’ with a chamber ensemble of string quartet, flute and conductor — performed in the extraordinary surrounds of NGV International, alongside nearly 400 jewels, gems and archival treasures from Cartier.
Il Trovatore
Melbourne Opera is thrilled to announce Il Trovatore. Verdi’s most passionate and turbulent masterpiece starring international superstars Helena Dix and Rosario La Spina.
