After careful consideration of the current situation and due to recent announcements by State and Federal Governments restricting mass gatherings, Melbourne Opera wishes to reschedule the August 2020 performance of Das Rheingold at the Regent Theatre to February 2021.
“With the capacity of the superbly renovated theatre, any social distancing requirements will be met and artistic quality assured as you would expect. It has been a difficult time for all of the arts sector and we therefore thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to seeing you at the exciting start of our Ring Cycle with Das Rheingold, including an outstanding all-Australian cast featuring Warwick Fyfe as Wotan, at the Regent Theatre in February 2021.” – Melbourne Opera
