Melbourne Opera is a vibrant professional opera company providing quality opera productions at realistic prices for Melbourne audiences.
The company receives no government support and relies solely on box offce sales and the generosity of its beneficiaries. The Company punches way above its weight with annual seasons in the Melbourne Opera Precinct (which includes the iconic Athenaeum and Regent Theatres) and Victorian regional centres.
Melbourne Opera also tours internationally, including highly acclaimed tours of China. This young Company thus provides a vital performing platform for young artists, whether in the dynamic Melbourne Opera Chorus, orchestra, or as a soloist.
